Over a period of 30 years, 12 of these firetrucks have been custom built. As each one was designed and built, there were hundreds continuing improvements to all parts of the units. Most changes suggested by the firefighters who operate them. They are the ultimate long range, high volume, endurance pumpers.

A premium level Peterbilt cab & chassis with 36 ” sleeper, a 3406, C15, 550HP Cat engine, 18 sp Road Ranger transmission and full locking tandem axles. These trucks are capable of hwy speeds of over 80 mph. The fire pump is the largest conventional fire pump available, a Hale 3000 GPM, direct foam injection from a 325 gal foam tank, 1100 gals onboard water, 500 pounds of purple K dry chemical and an overhead deck gun.
These trucks also have a three man ANSI decontamination (hazmat) shower with a recovery bunk. They have a Wabasto heating system for both the truck engine and the fire systems, they can and frequently do operate at deep subzero temperatures.
These are hardworking Firetrucks they often travel 100s miles to work sites and can stay on 24/7 duty for months at a time. On one large firefighting project three of these Smokey trucks pumped every day for over 200 days without any on duty down time. This engine, this drive train and this pump are made for long term endurance pumping.
These Firetrucks were used at large remote area work sites that involve large volumes of flammable fluids and associated hazardous chemicals.
