1963 Cheverolet Greenbrier (O1292)

This is a1963 8-door Corvair 95 Greenbrier van that served as the Malden West Camp Fire Department (Saugerties, NY) emergency vehicle from 1963 – 1987. Unique on many accounts, it is the only Corvair 95 emergency conversion vehicle restored to its original configuration. All mechanical and electrical systems including powertrain, brakes, steering, and suspension, and harnesses have been rebuilt or replaced with NOS/OER parts. All emergency vehicle equipment are NOS or restored and functional, including siren, beacon light, spot lights, front and rear flashers, and 2-way Motorola FM radio. Has rare 102 HP engine with 4 speed transmission, positraction rear axle, LCI generator, and oil bath air cleaner. Includes a collection of original and era-correct fire department equipment. Under 16,000 original miles. Repainted with original lettering. Corsa Concours Gold in 2018; VCCA junior class first place winner in 2022. Comes with extensively documented historical provenance and record of restoration. This unique fire department vehicle will add distinction to any collection.
